If I have multiple subscriptions showing up on the same day will I get double-charged?2020-05-09T08:55:23-07:00

“If I have multiple subscriptions, like eggs and milk or eggs & milk weekly and once-a-month chocolate milk; is the delivery fee shared between multiple orders if they’re both showing up on the same day? Or will I get double-charged?”

NO WAY. That just sounds mean and cruel.

We view the delivery fee a single trip charge for the convenience of our service and not profit fee on every item.

If I Am Getting a Subscribe and Save Delivery, When Am I Charged Again?2021-12-13T11:35:36-08:00

When you choose a delivery option of weekly, every other week, or once a month; your card used at your original check out is charged again on the Tuesday Morning prior to your next Friday delivery.

“Why can’t I just message you Friday and have you bring what I want while you’re out delivering?” It seemed like a simple honest question, right? We’re already out delivering so….why not?

Schoch Dairy bottles the milk Thursday night and needs no know how many to set aside for you. We need to know how many eggs to collect Thursday evening.  Lastly, the fruit farm needs to know how much to pick on Thursday AM. Some days our drivers may have extra so it never hurts to ask!!

Milk Bottled on Thursday, fruit picked on Thursday, eggs collected, and all delivered Friday? THAT’S FARM FRESH and how we make it happen.

Where is My Bottle Deposit Refund??2020-04-15T13:22:48-07:00
For One Time Milk Deliveries that leave out a bottle, we refund the money the next business day after the delivery.
For subscription customers; any bottle(s) we pick up are credited to your next delivery. If you cancel your subscription any outstanding bottle credits with The Egg Drop are refunded to your subscription payment method.  If you have bottles left over after your subscription has ended you will need to take your empty bottles to Schoch Dairy to receive your refund.
Bottle Deposit2020-05-15T16:37:22-07:00

For every milk in a bottle we pick up from Schoch Dairy to deliver to you we get charged a $2 deposit. We don’t mark it up or charge a processing fee to refund it, but we do have to collect it.

The most common response we hear is; “why do you collect a deposit? I’m going to leave bottles out?”

Your order is paid in advance before we deliver and the bottle deposit is issued after we pick up the bottles.

Due to the nature of a delivery service, we don’t do the financial transaction at your door. It’s a “drop” of a package of eggs or a bottle of milk. What can happen is people do not leave their empty bottles out.
If you left 2 bottles out you will get a $4 dollar refund. Some people didn’t leave any bottles out….one person left out 19!!

How Refunds Work:

For One Time Milk Deliveries that leave out a bottle, we refund the money the next business day after the delivery.
For subscription customers; any bottle(s) we pick up are credited to your next delivery. If you cancel your subscription any outstanding bottle credits with The Egg Drop are refunded to your subscription payment method.  If you have bottles left over after your subscription has ended you will need to take your empty bottles to Schoch Dairy (or participating grocery store) to receive your refund.
What Kind Of Milk? Can I Special Order?2020-04-15T12:48:49-07:00

Our award-winning milk is whole, just as it comes from the cow.

This means that we do not have:

  • Homogenized Milk
  • Half & Half
  • 2%
  • 3.25%
  • 3.8%
  • 1%
  • non-fat

The milk comes out of the cow and into a vat pasteurize. This is a slow, low-temperature process that allows the full flavor and nutrition of the milk to come through. Then, we chill it quickly, to lock in freshness.

All the milk we sell comes from the cows on the Schoch Dairy farm, unlike larger creameries that buy milk from all over. They raise thier own cows, feed them on their pastures, milk them, and process the milk into glass bottles.

Our milk goes from the Schoch Dairy Farm to your fridge in one day. Now that’s FRESH

Egg Cleaning and Refrigeration?2020-04-15T13:27:57-07:00
The eggs are cleaned gently with a dry cloth leaving the protective membrane or blush intact.
For best taste, we recommend storing them at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or up to a month in the refrigerator.
I live/work in Downtown Portland; will you deliver to a high rise?2019-06-14T22:18:11-07:00

We will deliver to a muli-floor/suite building as long as there is a concierge in the lobby so our driver can get directly in and drop the eggs. This may change in the future.

What size are the eggs?2019-06-05T01:50:41-07:00

Being farm direct, we do not grade them. They range in size in every dozen from Large to Xtra-Large with the occasional Jumbo or Medium.

We have taken special requests from time to time for eggs all in a specific size rage when we are given the desired gram weight for an extra fee. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Are these certified organic eggs?2019-06-05T01:51:00-07:00

We’re a small farm with cage-free & free range hens that eat and lay eggs. We do not use GMO chicken feed and are non-antibiotic.

What kind of chickens are these eggs from?2020-07-04T06:11:54-07:00

We have a mixture of: Australorp, Golden Sex Link, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Reds, Ameraucana, Black Copper Marans, Dominant Copper, and a few hybrid mix.

To the south, the boundary is the Willamette River and the Aroura area. To the West, the boundary is Forest Grove/Banks near the base of the coast mountain range.

OMG…this is awesome! how can I do this?2021-01-21T09:58:27-08:00

We get enough requests for a conversation about how we did this little business and can you pick our brains that we created a licensing agreement for The Egg Drop brand, marketing, process, and infrastructure.

It’s not a franchise.

It is a way to get a plug and play duplication of what we’ve done here in your area for a fraction of what it would cost to start from scratch. If you’re interested please schedule a call with us below.
